1. Scope of Application
These Terms and Conditions (T&C) apply to all contracts for participation in seminars, retreats, workshops, coaching sessions, and online courses (hereinafter referred to as “Events”) concluded with Carsten Dohnke (hereinafter referred to as “Organizer”).
2. Conclusion of Contract and Booking Process
The presentation of the Events on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer. The process for concluding a contract is as follows:
- The interested party submits a non-binding request for participation via the contact form or email.
- The Organizer checks the availability of places and, if applicable, the suitability for the specific Event.
- A binding contract is only concluded when the Organizer confirms the participation in writing (usually via email) and issues the corresponding invoice.
- The mere confirmation of receipt of the request does not constitute a booking confirmation.
3. Services and Participation Fees
The scope of services is specified in the respective Event description. Unless expressly stated otherwise, costs for travel, meals, and accommodation are not included in the participation fee. The fees are due for payment without deduction within 14 days of receiving the invoice, but no later than before the start of the Event.
4. Cancellation and Withdrawal by the Participant
Since fixed capacities are reserved for seminars and retreats, the following conditions apply in the event of cancellation by the participant (cancellations must be made in writing):
- Up to 30 days before the start: Only a processing fee of 50.00 EUR is due.
- 29 to 14 days before the start: 50% of the participation fee will be retained.
- From 13 days before the start or in case of no-show: 100% of the participation fee is due.
The participant is free to name a suitable substitute participant to take their place in the contract. In this case, the cancellation fees are waived (plus a processing fee of 30.00 EUR). Taking out seminar cancellation insurance is highly recommended.
5. Cancellation or Changes by the Organizer
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel Events if the minimum number of participants is not reached, in the event of the instructor’s illness, or due to force majeure. In this case, already paid fees will be fully refunded. Further claims (e.g., travel or hotel costs) are excluded. Minor content-related changes to the program do not entitle the participant to withdraw from the contract.
6. Personal Responsibility and Health Requirements
Participation in the Events in the field of Tao, Qigong, and coaching is at the participant’s own risk. By submitting the request and participating, the participant expressly confirms that they are in a physically and mentally healthy condition that allows for unrestricted participation in the physical and mental exercises. Existing health restrictions, acute or chronic illnesses, as well as ongoing medical or psychotherapeutic treatments must be communicated to the Organizer in advance. The Events do not constitute medical therapy or treatment and do not replace a visit to a doctor or therapist.
7. Liability
The Organizer is liable for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health only in cases of intent or negligence. For other damages (e.g., property damage or theft during the Event), the Organizer is liable only in cases of gross negligence or intent. Liability for health consequences resulting from the participant concealing existing physical or mental limitations or performing exercises beyond their personal limits is expressly excluded.
8. Copyright
All distributed materials, scripts, and provided media (audio/video) are protected by copyright. Reproduction, distribution to third parties, or commercial use is prohibited without the express written consent of Carsten Dohnke.
9. Final Provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply. The place of jurisdiction is the seat of the Organizer, provided this is legally permissible. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
